HPC SPECTRA
High-Performance Computing Skills Platform and European Collaboration for Training
HPC SPECTRA (High-Performance Computing Skills Platform and European Collaboration for Training) is an EU project dedicated to advancing HPC expertise across Europe. Our goal is to empower scientific and industrial research communities by providing a centralised hub for tailored training opportunities.
HPC SPECTRA is dedicated to empowering European scientific and industrial research communities with the knowledge and skills needed to fully harness the potential of high-performance computing (HPC). At the heart of the project is the co-development of a comprehensive, user-friendly online training platform, seamlessly integrated into the HPC in Europe Portal. This platform serves as a centralized hub, aggregating HPC training opportunities from across Europe and making them accessible through a single entry point.
In addition, HPC SPECTRA coordinates the International HPC Summer School (IHPCSS), designed to immerse outstanding students in computational sciences in cutting-edge HPC and Big Data Analytics. The program not only provides deep technical training across various scientific domains, but also fosters international networking, advanced mentoring, and career development.
We believe that HPC should be accessible to all fields of research – from physics and biology to the social sciences. By lowering barriers to entry and unifying educational resources, HPC SPECTRA is building a stronger, more inclusive future for computational excellence in Europe.
